Thank you for visiting my ePortfolio! My name is Katelyn and I am currently working to obtain my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Anesthesia at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University in May of 2018. My clinical interests include providing safe anesthetic care in a variety of settings including orthopedics, vascular, neurology, and general surgery. I enjoy working with a variety of patient populations including obstetrics and pediatrics. My academic research is aimed at regional and multimodal approaches to target patient outcomes following knee and hip arthroplasty. I love using critical thinking to respond effectively and efficiently to patient clinical status changes, and working as a functional component of an intricate healthcare team.
